An AI coding agent that runs on a server you own, and a phone app that lets you talk to it. You describe what you want built, it builds it on your machine, and the result comes back into the chat.
Yes. The app is a client with no AI inside it. A home machine or a small VPS is enough. Without a server the app opens on its setup screen and has nothing to talk to. This is deliberate: it is what keeps your work on hardware you control.
The app is free on Google Play. The founder licence for the server software is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
No. You pay once for the licence. You then pay your AI provider directly for the tokens your agent uses, which is a separate bill we never touch or take a cut of.
Two things: the machine (a small VPS is a few euro a month, a spare computer is free) and your AI provider's usage. Usage depends entirely on how much you build. You set the limits on your own provider account, so nothing can surprise you from our side.
Yes, and that is a feature. Your key, your account, your rate limits, your invoice. We never see it and never resell it back to you at a markup.
Web apps and Android apps, plus the ordinary work around them: scripts, fixes, refactors, deployments. It is a coding agent with a voice on the front, not a toy.
Not yet. The phone client ships for Android. The server does not care what talks to it.
One install command on your server, then paste the host, port, token and fingerprint it prints into the app. If you would rather not do it alone, book 30 minutes and we do it together.
No. They go from your phone to your server. There is no freeapp.ai service in that path, so there is nothing for us to look at even if we wanted to. Details in the privacy policy.
No. It contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. The website counts page views only if you accept analytics in the cookie bar.
The microphone is the whole point: it goes to your server while a conversation is running. The camera is optional, off by default, and only draws a self-view preview on screen. No frame is captured, analysed or transmitted.
It is as safe as your server is. The agent has real access because that is what building software requires. Run it on a machine you are willing to give a shell to, keep the access token private, and back it up.
Card, through Stripe. We never see your card details.
Yes. Within 14 days, no reason needed. Email contact@freeapp.ai from the address you paid with. See the terms.
Yes. The code is yours. Review it before you ship it: AI output can be wrong or insecure, and you are the one responsible for what goes live.
Yes, for your own business and your own clients. What you cannot do is resell the software itself or run it as a hosted service for others without asking us first.
